What we Believe

We believe that God is the creator of the world and that as part of that creation, he made people so that he can have a relationship with them and give them a fullness of life…

God gave people free will and allowed them to choose how to live their lives and over time people have chosen their own way over God’s and turned away from all that God can offer them…

Sin entered the world when people disobeyed God and now there is  blockage of sin in all of our lives that prevents us from coming back into this relationship with God… but God loved us so much that he wanted to make it possible for us to come back to him. He had to get rid of the sin in our lives so that we would be free to have a relationship with him again…

We believe that Jesus Christ is the son of God who came into this world as the perfect expression of God’s love for us, and we believe that Jesus died on a cross so that our sins can be forgiven. The death of Jesus on the cross meant there was now a way for us to come back into a relationship with God and enjoy the fullness of life that only God can offer. We believe that Jesus rose from the dead and is now seated in heaven with God and will one day return to the earth as the King of all kings.

We believe that there is forgiveness of sins and the assurance of eternal life through Jesus Christ alone, and that through the person of the Holy Spirit we can know this assurance and the reality of God’s unconditional love in our lives.

We believe that Jesus is the Way, the Truth and the Life and that there is no other way to know God than through accepting Jesus as your personal saviour.

We believe that God totally changes lives for the better. He offers forgiveness for our past – a new life for our today – and a hope for our future. He is with us every moment and enables us to a live a life that brings him glory and seeks to make our world a better place.
